CyanotypesFine Art Photography creating Cyanotypes Photograms into works of ArtThese images were made by an ancient photographic process called cyanotype. The process consists of making a photographic emulsion from two simple chemicals, which results in a blue and white image, also known as photograms. Once the watercolor paper is coated with the emulsion, it is sensitive to daylight. Objects can be laid on top of the paper, and what does not allow light to hit the paper, creates a white image, and the rest turns blue. Each cyanotype is a one of a kind and unique creation. These images can be reproduced as giclee prints. |
